Writing for an international audience
Much of what we write in business is intended to be persuasive, whether we are persuading employees to follow a company policy, persuading a superior to give us the resources we need, or persuading a client to hire us or buy our products. However what might be persuasive and understood by one group does not necessarily mean it is going to be equally well received by another in a separate country. When a text needs to be distributed globally we need to use a style that will enable everyone who reads it to understand it.
The aim of this workshop is to provide participants with the tools required to ensure that texts are not only written for international receipt but also for ease of translation.
What topics will be covered in this workshop?
